Do you like crafts? Did your grandmother knit when you were a child and you always wished you had learned how? What about that special piece of jewelry that you could never find in the stores to go with that dress you love? Did you find it? The answers to these questions may lead you to Mountain Knits & Pearls, a distinctive yarn and bead shop, at 114 Washington Street in East Stroudsburg, PA.

Our mission at Mountain Knits & Pearls is to help you create traditions and heirlooms to be shared with family and friends. We are here to provide you with experience in a bright and friendly atmosphere where learning and encouragement abounds.

Classes

Sit & Knit/Crochet

We invite you to stop in with your current project or come in to start a new one. We will answer your questions and you will meet with others who enjoy knitting or crocheting also. The fee is $5 for the two hour session.

Charity Knitting - Want to give back?

Well, come on in the first week of each month to knit of crochet for various local charities, including Women’s Resources and Angel’s Closet. We are also looking for a new project, so check in to see what we are doing. You can also use your favorite pattern or we have some for you including blankets, hats, sweaters, booties or mitten patterns. Bring your needles and any yarn you would like to donate.

Class Policies

Class fees are non-refundable unless the class is canceled by MKP and/or the teacher. Classes need a minimum of three students or the class will be canceled.

Class fees must be paid one week before the class date to reserve a spot and must be paid in cash or check. We will not reserve a spot in a class or hand out a class supply list without payment. Once we receive payment, you will receive 10% off the supplies that you are purchasing for the class.

Supplies may be purchased at the time of signing up or before the day of the class. If you would like to bring additional lighting, we do have extension cords.

MKP Rewards Program

You will receive a $25 reward every time you accumulate $250 in product purchases (excluding sales tax and class fees). It doesn’t matter if it is regularly priced or sale items. You don’t have to keep track since our computer system does all that for you. Take advantage of our way of saying thank you for your business!
